// ABOUT THIS BLOG...

This blog's about stuff I'm trying out online in my attempt to supplement my income. /// The blog's name is really just a playful dig at the plethora of ways to (apparently) make money online. If you're gonna get paid to read an email, fill out a survey, write a post, brush your teeth, sit down, stand up, well, why not get paid to fart? I tell ya, I'd be a celebrity in my own right if the latter were true! A lady I certainly am not. ;-)//

Total Online Earnings for November...

(flickr.com/photos/asaph70)

I aimed to make more than I did in October and that's how it panned out; Big Mama made $302.24.

Breakdown:
(any figures in pounds means it's how I was initially paid.)

- CloudCrowd: $201.40 (paid to complete tasks incl. translating, writing, editing, reviewing)(read my CloudCrowd review)

- Surveys: $36.55 (Panelbase: $16.23 (£10.05); Consumer Intelligence: $15.59 (£10.00); Pinecone Research: $4.73 (£3.00)) (Consumer Intelligence is a UK-based site. Surveys are short and sweet just the way I like it. You can read more about it on my survey blog)

- Kooday: $23.92 (make money by buying & selling keywords. Requires a minimum $5 investment.

- Clixsense: $11.89 (yay!, Clixsense, yay! I was previously using my Clixsense earnings to buy ads there, but since the ads weren't all that successful for me, I decided to just aim for payout.)

- Techdoctordeals: $9.60 (as I don't plan to continue with this site, this is my very last payment)(read my Techdoctordeals review)

- eBay UK: $6.29 (£3.93) (didn't do a lot of selling on eBay)

- Swagbucks: $5.00 (paid to search, do polls, surveys, etc. To find out more about Swagbucks, read review)

- ToneADay: $4.61 (for the work I did the previous month - not using ToneADay that much these days - no particular reason why.)(read review)

- Cashle: $2.47 (GPT site. read review here)

- QuickRewards Network: $0.51 (GPT site)(read review)

Total --- $302.24

I'm pleased with that. Not only did I want to make more, but I was partly hoping I'd break into $300. I did that only by two dollars, but psychologically, $302.24 feels better to me than $299.99; it's just a little extra gust of feel-goodness.

Anyhoo, my plans for December...

My focus is changing. This time though, instead of fighting, ignoring or questioning it, I'm just gonna go with the flow and act on it.

This month, I'll be looking at making money from the upcoming Christmas holidays. This is part of a wider interest I've recently developed in taking advantage of different holidays and other celebratory occasions to make money. (e.g., Black Friday, New Year's, Valentine's, Easter, etc.)

I'll primarily be using Hubpages to create hubs targeted towards Christmas and looking at ways to build backlinks to them so they're (hopefully) more prominent on Google. I understand the logic behind backlinking, but the challenge will be in the doing.

I don't know how successful it'll all be, but I'm treating this Christmas as a test-run and learning tool for future campaigns.

Ultimately, I'd like to have hubs, blogs and sites over time that tie into different hols/occasions and earn residually from them. I want to move away from an active way of earning. For example, if I don't work on CloudCrowd, I don't earn money. I want to change that; I want to be able to put in the work on a blog/site or hub, build momentum, and then reach a stage where it runs itself.

I know it's easier said than done, but I'm up for giving it a go.

Have a great month, people...

Ebele.
